Our Family Christmas 2025
Every year the season is so busy. Never quite getting everything done… but I always enjoy carving out time for just the seven of us to celebrate together. Since the tradition with the Grahams is Christmas Eve and with the Haydons is Christmas Day, we have often celebrated our Christmas the Sunday before Christmas because it was a day Trevor was guaranteed to have off. But as he’s gained more seniority, he has been able to have Christmas week off. So, this year we decided the celebrate on Tuesday morning, then celebrate with the Grahams Tuesday afternoon/evening, and head to Ukiah to be with the Haydons on Christmas Eve (Wednesday) to have a little extra time there.
I have always put out presents and filled stockings after the kids went to bed, not because “Santa” was coming because we never said that Christmas was about Santa, but because it’s what my mom always did. Honestly, I would have put out the presents earlier to get them out of my room, but I knew we were having our friends Christmas party on Sunday. I also would have filled the stockings, but they would have been too heavy and fallen from the bookcase they hang on. When the kids were younger, they chose to always sleep by the tree on “Christmas Eve,” but this year was just the boys. And now, in reality, most the kids stay up late, so everyone is aware when I put everything out. This year Adi went to bed and the other four played a video game together as I got Christmas stuff ready.

I also set up Cocoa for the morning.

This year, we had breakfast before opening stockings. The kids requested abelskivers to go with the scrambled eggs.

Eventually, Abel could wait no longer, so we started.

Adeliza put her stuff away before I took pictures, so here is her picture.

I got Trevor two jackets and a USPS board game. 😁 I got a blade pizza cutter and some books.
